Nothing spectacular to report, but at least my earnings at BH are consistent.
I earned 4.11 on my old stuff, with an extra .12 thrown in for an article in holding. The article in holding eventually got thrown out by BH. In an act of good faith, they returned my copyright back on the piece, and I threw it up on my boardgame rules website, Howdoyouplayit.com. It's more than I could ask for, really. They paid me upfront for the work, and now it can still earn a little on my own site.
This month, I adopted a few articles at BH. I'm not exactly thrilled with the adoption process. A few of the articles I adopted have yet to be accepted by the editors after about 2 weeks, and I won't earn residuals until my changes on the work are accepted by the editor. Additionally I picked some real duds--stuff that gets like 10 pv a month, which is why they were abandoned in the first place, I imagine.
But it's not all bad news. I did pick up a really solid article that should get 50-100 pv a month for the next few years. Its an article on Unlocking Super Smash Bros. Brawl Characters, so it should be relevant for quite a while. Still, I put about an hour of work into it, so I'm looking at something like 5$ an hour. OUCH! -- but at least it was a labor of love.

June 2011 Demand Studios Revenue Share Earnings
My revenue share earnings for June were good at DMS. I had a single article (something that is pretty fluffy, and thin content wise) account for about 40% of my earnings. Why did it do so good? It was a "How To Buy ..." article, and I think that it had good corresponding ads on the page when viewers actually visited the article.
The numbers for June: $16.76, up by over $3.00 from last month, and my second highest earnings for Rev. Share at DMS for the year. My article count is about 33 articles, with only about 20 actually earning money every month.
Not bad, but it still doesn't even pay my lowest monthly bill.
